1. Who We Are

Clarion Claims Group ("we," "us," "our") is a licensed public adjusting firm operating in Minnesota, Michigan, Kentucky, Georgia, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, Connecticut, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Iowa. Our website is located at www.clarionclaims.com. Questions about this policy may be directed to info@clarionclaims.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide through our contact forms, including:

  • Full name and contact information (email address, phone number)
  • Property address and location
  • Insurance company name and claim status
  • Type and description of property damage
  • Any additional details you choose to share about your situation

If you engage us, we also collect the information needed to handle your claim, such as your policy, claim number, photos, estimates, and correspondence with your insurer, along with information we receive from your contractor, your insurer, and other people involved in the claim.

We also automatically collect basic technical information when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL, through standard web server logs and analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and evaluate your insurance claim situation
  • Contact you to schedule your free consultation
  • Provide public adjusting services if you choose to engage us
  • Send informational communications related to your claim
  • Improve our website and services

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling unrelated to our services.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Vendors who help us run our website and business, including hosting, email and phone systems, our customer relationship management system, electronic signatures, claim documentation and photo tools, AI and drafting tools, analytics, and the advertising measurement described in Section 7, under agreements that limit how they may use it.
  • Claim participants: If you engage us, your insurer and its adjusters, your contractor, and the appraisers, engineers, attorneys, and other people reasonably necessary to document, negotiate, or resolve your claim.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your consent: In any other circumstances with your explicit permission.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including providing our services, and to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of 3 years unless an active client relationship exists, in which case we retain records in accordance with our professional obligations. If you ask us to delete your information, we may keep what we are required to keep under public adjuster licensing rules, tax and accounting rules, or to resolve a dispute, and we will tell you if that applies.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Pixels

We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate site traffic. It does not use cookies or build advertising profiles. On our advertising landing page we also set a first-party cookie that remembers which version of the page you were shown, so we can compare versions. It holds no personal information and is not shared with anyone.

We also use advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads). These set cookies and share information about your visit, such as the pages you viewed and, if you submit a form, a hashed version of your email address and phone number, so we can measure our advertising and show our ads to people who visited this site. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or California, these pixels do not load until you choose Accept on the consent banner. Everywhere else they run unless you choose Decline on the banner. Either way, you can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline for these pixels.

Separately from the pixels, when you submit a claim review or contact form we send Meta and OpenAI a server-side record of that one submission so we can measure which advertisement produced it. That record contains a hashed version of the email address and phone number you entered and, when present, the click identifier from the ad link you arrived on. It does not include your browsing activity. It is sent unless you chose Decline on the consent banner or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Submitting a form is otherwise how you agree to this measurement.

You may also disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site functionality may be affected.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of certain uses of your information
  • The right to data portability (where applicable)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@clarionclaims.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 45 days, and if we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our response.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will notify you or ask for your consent where the law requires.
